This page explains how MANA handles workspace data and how subscriptions, plan changes, AI Action limits, cancellations, and payments work. It describes the current product behavior in plain language.
Data you add to MANA
MANA stores the account, project, contact, document, finance, calendar, chat, and file information you choose to add so the workspace can provide its features.
Payment card details are handled by Stripe. MANA stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, billing status, and invoice references, but does not store your full card number.
AI and connected services
When you use the AI assistant, your message and the workspace context needed to answer it are sent to the configured AI provider. Connected services receive only the information needed for the action you request.
- Stripe processes subscriptions, invoices, and payment methods.
- Cloud storage providers store uploaded file contents.
- Email providers deliver messages you send from MANA.
- Calendar providers receive events when you enable calendar sync.
Cookies
MANA uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the app: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and short-lived cookies that secure the sign-in flow. They are set by MANA itself, are never used for advertising or analytics, and expire within one day.
Because MANA sets no analytics or tracking cookies, no consent banner is required or shown. Clearing cookies in your browser simply signs you out; no other data is affected.
Your controls
You can export your MANA records from Privacy settings. The export contains core records and stored file metadata; uploaded file contents are not bundled in the JSON export.
Deleting your account permanently removes the account and associated MANA records and stored files. This cannot be undone. Connected providers can retain records they are independently required to keep, such as completed payment records.
Subscription and billing policy
Stripe is the billing authority. MANA reads plan prices, subscription status, invoices, and pending changes from Stripe and shows the timing before you confirm.
Free → paid plan
After successful payment
The selected monthly or annual price is collected in Stripe Checkout.
Higher plan tier
Immediately
Stripe collects the prorated difference before the new tier is applied.
Monthly → annual
Immediately
Unused monthly time is credited and the annual term starts on the change date.
Lower plan tier
Next renewal
No charge, refund, or credit today. The current plan remains active until renewal.
Annual → monthly
Next renewal
No charge today. The prepaid annual term continues until its renewal date.
Cancel subscription
End of paid period
Access continues through the paid-through date and can be resumed beforehand.
- A mixed change that shortens an annual commitment is scheduled for renewal even if it also selects a higher tier.
- The plan price and estimated invoice can differ because Stripe applies taxes, discounts, promotion codes, or account credits. The Stripe invoice is the final amount.
- If an immediate-change payment fails, the new tier is not applied until payment succeeds.
- Past-due subscriptions keep paid access during the retry period. Access returns to Free if Stripe marks the subscription unpaid, paused, incomplete, or canceled.
- AI Actions reset on the first day of each UTC calendar month, not on the subscription renewal date. A scheduled downgrade can therefore place the account over its new monthly limit until the next reset.
